Our Programmes

Not every young person needs the same type of support.

Some benefit from small-group work. Others need more focused one-to-one support or help preparing for work and adult responsibility.

The Confidence Project offers structured programmes that can be adapted to the individual, group or settings.

Group Programme

Small-group support focused on behaviour, engagement, decision-making and confidence.

The group environment helps young people recognise that they are not alone in what they are experiencing.

Sessions help young people:

  • understand their reactions

  • communicate more effectively

  • stay more engaged

  • build consistency and direction

Suitable for

  • schools

  • youth services

  • early intervention support

Typical focus areas

  • behaviour and reactions

  • social confidence

  • emotional regulation

  • motivation and engagement

One-to-One Support

Focused support to young people who may be struggling with more disengagement, emotional pressure or difficulty managing situations consistently.

This approach provides:

  • more individual attention

  • structured reflective conversations

  • practical strategies for handling difficult moments

The aim is to help young people pause before reacting, think more clearly under pressure and make more consistent decisions over time.

  • persistent disengagement

  • emotional withdrawal

  • transition period or instability

Understanding Reactions Under Pressure

Many young people know what they should do, but struggle in the moment pressure appears.

Our work helps young people better understand:

  • emotional reactions

  • impulsive responses

  • social pressure

  • frustration

  • withdrawal

  • decision-making under stress

The goal is not perfection, but improving awareness, response and recovery over time.

Confidence Can Be Developed

We believe resilience and confidence are not fixed traits.

With the right structure, reflection and reinforcement, young people can strengthen how they respond, communicate, act and recover under pressure.

Our aim is to help young people build capacities they can continue using beyond the sessions themsleves.

How Delivery Works

The programmes are delivered:

  • in schools

  • within alternative provisions

  • through youth organisations

  • in community settings

Support can be adapted based on:

  • age group

  • level of need

  • group size

  • setting requirements

Delivery is structured, practical and focused on real-life application rather than theory alone.

Sessions focus on real situations young people experience at school, at home, socially or under pressure.

Programmes are built around practical conversations, real-life situations and guided reflections on behaviour, reactions and decision-making.

Young people are supported to slow situations down, understand what happened and think about how they can respond differently next time.

It is not clinical therapy or formal counselling.

Our approach is practical, structured and focused on real-life situations young people face at school, socially or under pressure.
