The Confidence Project is committed to supporting young people in a safe, respectful, and appropriate environment.
The wellbeing and safety of young people remains a priority throughout all delivery.
Our approach
The Confidence Project provides structured support focused on:

Sessions are designed to be supportive, practical, and appropriate to the age and needs of the young person.
The approach is reflective and educational in nature and is not clinical therapy or formal counselling.
Working with young people
We aim to:
create a respectful and supportive environment
encourage safe communication and participation
maintain appropriate professional boundaries
promote emotional and physical wellbeing
work in ways that support safety, dignity, and inclusion
Participation in discussions and reflective activities is invitational and respectful of individual comfort levels and boundaries.
Safeguarding responsibilities
Where concerns arise relating to:
the safety or wellbeing of a young person
risk of harm to self or others
abuse, neglect, exploitation, or significant safeguarding concerns, appropriate safeguarding action may be taken in line with relevant safeguarding responsibilities and procedures.
This may include sharing information with:

parents or carers

schools or referring organisations

safeguarding leads
-
relevant support services or authorities where necessary
Partnership working
Where programmes are delivered within schools, alternative provision, local authority settings, or youth organisations, safeguarding processes will be aligned with the relevant setting’s safeguarding procedures and reporting structures.
Professional boundaries
The Confidence Project provides structured support and reflective learning for young people.
The service does not provide:

emergency support

crisis intervention

medical advice
-
clinical mental health treatment
Where additional specialist support may be needed, young people or families may be advised to seek support through appropriate services.
